How do I get started?

Call us at (518) 694-9400, Option 4, to speak with one of our caring and professional representatives. We are available 24 hours 7 days a week to answer all of your questions and will help to find a caregiver near you quickly. We will have our staff come to your home and conduct a free, no obligation assessment. We will work with you to identify your needs and match a caregiver who can best assist you.

How does Belvedere select your caregivers?

We recruit only the very best caregivers, which begins with experience. Many of our caregivers have worked for decades in home health care. We perform multiple interviews with our prospective employees; we also obtain references from reliable sources (health care institutions, home health care agencies, previous clients, etc.) as well as perform a complete background check.

Are your services available in nursing homes and assisted living communities?

Yes! We will provide home care wherever you need it. Whether you are living in your own home, nursing home, assisted or independent living community, rehab or a hospital, we are here to help you when you need it.

What makes Belvedere Home Care different from other agencies?

Our caregivers are passionate about helping people and improving the lives of the people they touch. We pride ourselves in matching the needs of your loved one with the experience of our caregivers. We provide transportation to doctor appointments, run errands such as grocery shopping and we can provide assistance with pet care.

What happens if my caregiver is sick and unavailable to work?

We have staff available 24 hours a day; 7 days a week should your caregiver need to cancel for any reason. We have backup caregivers, and we will send a replacement caregiver that best suits your needs.

Who pays the caregiver? Me or you?

All the billing and payroll goes through Belvedere Home Care. We bill you and pay our employees directly.  You will never need to worry about handling your caregiver’s payroll. We prohibit any monetary transactions between a client and a caregiver for services we provide.

Can I change the schedule if I have an appointment?

Changes can be easily accommodated with as little as one week notice. We understand that your needs may change, that is why we are flexible. Your needs come first, that is why our philosophy is to make the schedule work for you, not for us. We will do everything possible to ensure that the schedule you want is the schedule you get.

Do I have to sign a contract to keep services for a specified period of time?

No. We have all of our clients sign a services agreement at the time of the home care assessment. The Client Services Agreement is a document that goes over our policies and procedures, including the payment agreement. You can have services from as little as 2 hours to as much as 24 hours per day. We do ask that we receive a 2-week notice if services must end.

Why should I use Belvedere Home Care rather than hire someone privately?

Privately hiring an independent caregiver comes with risks, and there are added benefits when you use Belvedere Home Care. Belvedere Home Care will handle ALL the scheduling for you, and if your caregiver is sick, we find a qualified replacement. All of our staff are bonded and insured in the unfortunate event of an accident.

We also have Workers Compensation insurance should a caregiver hurt themselves while at your home. We perform background checks on all of our employees, which can be costly when done individually.

By hiring caregivers through Belvedere Home Care, we take all the risks and worries out of your home.

Are services covered by Medicare, Medicaid or Insurance?

Belvedere Home Care does not currently accept Medicare. Some Long Term Care insurance companies are accepted, but we do not guarantee they will cover all of the costs.  Belvedere accepts the following insurances:

  • CDPHP
  • MVP
  • Fidelis
  • United Health Care
  • Certain PPO plans. If you have a PPO insurance plan, call for more information.

What if my needs change?

We understand that sometimes your needs or level of care may change. We offer companion level services through nursing level services. Whether your hours, days or level of care changes, we are here to assist you.

How much do the services cost?

The cost of care can vary depending on the types of services you need. Before we can give you the cost of care, we must identify what kinds of assistance you need. Please call us today for more information.

Who can best be helped by Belvedere Home Care?

Home care can be a viable option for persons who are disabled, elderly, chronically ill or recovering from an illness or surgery. We provide assistance to people who are living independently or with assistance but have medical or social needs and can't do it alone.
