Whether you need temporary assistance following surgery or an accident or your need longer-term care, Belvedere has caregivers who can come into your home on your schedule and assist with homemaking tasks.

Having someone assist with household tasks not only reduces the risks of fatigue and injury, but it also provides a clean, safe environment that is beneficial to overall health and recovery.

Our household services include but are not limited to:

  • Laundry
  • Light housekeeping
  • Pet care
  • Meal preparation, including special dietary needs
Palliative Care Support

Any patient who experiences chronic pain and discomfort caused by a disease, accident or life-limiting illness is entitled to relief.

While palliative care is most often associated with hospice care, any patient is eligible for pain management services at any stage of illness, even while they are undergoing treatment or therapies.

Belvedere caregivers want to see your loved ones feeling their best and will work with the patient’s medical team to create an effective palliative care plan.

Palliative care is about improving the patient’s quality of life, and any patient who feels that quality of life is compromised by pain, discomfort or symptoms is a candidate for a palliative care program.

24-Hour Care

Some patients require attention and care around the clock.

Belvedere Home Care provides 24-hour care for seniors and other adults with medical issues or disabilities. Our 24-hour caregivers can provide all of the services that a Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide or Companion can do, but will stay for extended periods at your home.

Teams of two or three experienced Belvedere caregivers rotate shifts through a 24-hour period, providing alert, prepared care, even in the middle of the night. For those who only need overnight services, we can accommodate that schedule.

Patients may require medication at later times or may need assistance toileting during the night. Patients with dementia can wake up in the dark and feel disoriented and wander. It’s important for a caregiver to be available for those patients’ health and safety.

Round-the-clock care offers family caregivers the opportunity for respite – and a good night’s sleep - knowing that trained, professional caregivers are on the job, day and night.

Daily Health Maintenance

The need for routine testing and care shouldn’t prevent your loved one from staying in their own home.

Our staff is trained to provide a wide range of everyday care, testing and monitoring to track your loved one’s health. This allows them to stay in their home and be comfortable in a familiar setting when they need only brief daily visits to fulfill their health needs.

Our nurses and aides can provide services including:

  • Monitor blood pressure and other vital signs
  • Glucose testing
  • Provide post-surgical care
  • Perform wound care
  • Change dressings
  • Teach and manage ostomy/colostomy care
  • Give injections
  • Manage urinary catheters
  • Manage medication and talk to doctors or pharmacists
  • Provide education to patients and families
Appointment Assistance

Getting to appointments can be challenging for those who have difficulty walking, are unable to drive and have limited access to safe and timely public transportation.

Appointment schedules can be unforgiving. It’s not always possible for family members to adjust their schedules to accommodate a doctor or specialist’s availability. But keeping every appointment is vital to good health and recovery.

Belvedere Home Care can provide transportation to doctor appointments and other outings. Our trusted local employees can get your loved one where they need to go, ask questions on behalf of your family or the patient, and report back to loved ones with status updates, changes in care, updated medication or other medical needs.

Our team can also provide transportation for non-medical appointments, shopping or other errands.

Dementia & Alzheimer's Care

Belvedere Home Care makes it possible for your loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia to stay home in a comfortable, familiar environment and keep their own habits and schedule.

The Belvedere Home Care staff are knowledgeable and specially trained to care for the needs of patients with cognitive challenges, including:

  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Dementia
  • Stroke

If can be difficult for families to ask for outside help, but a professional, experienced caregiver can help dementia patients stay in their own homes longer.

Additional help also means that family caregivers can take some time off from the round-the-clock, active caregiving that comes with advancing cognitive disorders.

Belvedere offers overnight and 24-hour-care options for all patients, including those with Alzheimer’s and dementia. These patients may experience disrupted sleep and can wake up disoriented. A nighttime caregiver can help ensure their comfort and safety.

Hospital Sitting

When a loved one is hospitalized, it can be scary to walk away from their bedside and leave them without the comfort of a familiar face or a hand to hold.

Belvedere Home care offers Hospital Sitter services, so you'll have a trained caregiver to advocate for the patient and relay vital information from the hospital staff when you or your family are unable to be there.

While a Hospital Sitter cannot provide medical care or administer medication in the hospital setting, they are the voice, eyes and ears of the patient and their family.

We can also help transition a patient from hospital to home, providing care post-surgery or other medical incidences. Our staff is trained to assess and create a safe home environment and to monitor the patient for any changes in their health or progress that may require follow-up or emergency treatment.

We can prepare nutritious meals appropriate to recovery and encourage patients to stay hydrated. We make sure medication is administered on schedule and that the patient attends their follow-up doctor appointments.

Hospital care sitters can also tend to patients in nursing homes, rehabilitation centers and assisted living residences.

Therapy Assistance

Anyone who is going through physical therapy, occupational therapy or other rehabilitative therapies can use a supportive team.

Belvedere Home Care caregivers offer assistance in completing and tracking required exercises and other aspects of a patient’s prescribed therapy routines. We’re also there to encourage patients to reach their full potential every day and to celebrate their successes.

Our caregivers can also provide transportation for therapy appointments and keep families informed about the patient’s progress.

Post-Surgical Home Care Support

Following surgery, whether minor or major, patients often face a challenging list of orders and limitations.

Belvedere Home Care can be there through recovery to help with anything a patient can’t – or shouldn’t –  do, per doctor’s orders.

We can do everything from dress wounds and monitor vital signs to prepare meals, perform housekeeping and assist with pet care. Caregivers can help the patient move safely, dress, bathe, or perform exercises or therapies recommended by the medical team. We also provide 24-hour care and overnight care.

Belvedere caregivers can provide transportation to follow-up appointments and report back to families with recommendations, progress and changes in treatment.

As the patient recovers, our flexible scheduling allows families to adjust the level of care to fit the patient's needs until they can be fully independent again!

Post-surgical caregivers serve all patients in recovery, whether it is from heart surgery, joint replacement, cancer treatment or other medical issues.

Stroke & Brain Injury Care

After an initial hospitalization and rehabilitation, it can be a long road to recovery for stroke and brain injury patients. Most will need long term care during recovery.

Belvedere Home Care helps stroke and brain injury care patients recover at their own pace, in their own home, working toward greater independence.

Our specially trained staff has the knowledge and experience to help patients and families with both everyday care and long range goals.

We work with the patient’s healthcare team to develop a care plan, and we can adjust the level and frequency of our services as is appropriate for the patient’s level of recovery.

Belvedere Home Care staff will:

  • Monitor blood pressure and other vital signs
  • Monitor recovery progress
  • Help identify risk factors for another stroke
  • Help follow through with prescribed rehab activities
  • Proved 24-hour care and overnight care as needed
  • Assist with personal care - Bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.
  • Give injections

Long Distance Family Reassurance

Few things are more stressful than having to be away from a family member when they are ill, recovering from surgery or living with a chronic or life-limiting disease.

Belvedere Home Care caregivers can not only provide expert and compassionate care for your loved one; they will provide distant family members with reports and updates on the patient’s condition and progress.

Our caregivers communicate with the patient's health team not only to be fully prepared for every aspect of care but also to keep families fully informed on a regular, ongoing basis.

If you have to be away, Belvedere can help you feel closer.

    — Jerry Zych

  • I like to be free. And do my own things, and my own thoughts, so with that realization I just reached out and tried to do something to help me. All the things I need, Belvedere will do for me. It makes me very happy.

    — Marva

  • My reward is just knowing that I helped someone take that other step to become independent. That’s the best reward. That’s my only reward.
