Who We Serve

Home health care allows many types of patients to stay in the comfort of their own homes while receiving professional caregiver treatment and monitoring.

Getting medical or non-medical care in the home can be a temporary solution for patients recovering from surgery, going through rehab or regaining independence after an accident or injury. Or it can be long term and ongoing for patients with chronic conditions, serious illness or lifelong disabilities.

While families do amazing work giving patients love, support and assistance, sometimes it takes a professional to provide a higher level of medical care or to meet a patient’s round-the-clock needs. Even the most devoted family caregivers can benefit from professional assistance and the opportunity for respite.

Who is a good candidate for Belvedere home health care?

  • Seniors who need assistance with medical issues but want to stay in their own homes.
  • A patient who has needs such as IV medication, injections, managing multiple medications, daily wound care or ongoing monitoring of a serious illness.
  • Patients who need assistance and care as they recover from surgery, accidents or injuries.
  • People who need help with household tasks, meal preparation or pet care.
  • People who need assistance with personal hygiene care.
  • Patients who require 24-hour monitoring and attention.
  • People who need transportation to appointments and other activities.
  • Adults with physical or mental disabilities who need care and companionship in the home and need help navigating their appointments and activities.
  • Adult patients with chronic diseases and disabilities, such as Alzheimer's or dementia, heart failure or diabetes, who need ongoing monitoring but want to maintain their independence.
  • Caregivers who want to keep their loved ones at home but need trusted, reliable long or short-term respite.
  • Veterans and their families.
Cognitive Impairments

Mental Health Challenges

Patients with mental health issues need as much attention and care as those with physical ailments.

Belvedere caregivers offer medical care and even daily support to those with mental disorders.

Common mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, PTSD and others can make it difficult for people to be motivated about self-care. They may neglect eating or personal grooming. They may find it difficult to leave the house for a doctor’s appointment or to shop for necessities.

A Belvedere Home Care caregiver can monitor patients with these common conditions to make sure they are staying on schedule for medications and appointments and to help them get through daily tasks.

Those with mental illnesses such as schizophrenia can also benefit from a watchful eye tracking their medications and enforcing doctors’ orders.

Our caregivers are specially trained to work with patients who have these and other mental disorders – and to treat every patient with respect, understanding and compassion.

Behavioral Challenges

Mental and physical health problems can manifest themselves in behavioral issues.

Patients can be angry or frustrated by new limitations. Or their medication changes their moods. Or they just stubbornly refuse to follow doctor’s orders.

Belvedere Home Care caregivers have worked with patients who have all types of conditions and challenges. Our caregivers have special training to not only cope with behavioral issues as they happen but to look for the root of the issue so a patient can feel more comfortable and cooperative.

Our caregivers work closely with the patient’s medical team, so we have a full understanding of any and all health concerns and medications. We work with the team to spot and stop the underlying cause of behavioral issues whenever possible.

We also get to know our patients and can tell when something is not right with their mood or attitude. If a docile and friendly patient becomes hostile or withdrawn, it can be the sign of a serious medical problem, such as an infection or a drug interaction.

Patients with behavioral issues need care that goes above and beyond, and that’s what Belvedere caregivers provide.

Patients with diabetes and other endocrine system disorders may need help maintaining a healthy diet, managing their insulin and medications and performing required blood tests.
