Palliative Care Support
Any person who experiences chronic pain and discomfort due to a disease, accident or life-limiting illness is entitled to relief. While palliative care is most often associated with hospice care, any person is eligible for pain management services at any stage of illness, even while they are undergoing treatment or therapies.
Palliative care is about improving the person’s quality of life. Any person who feels their quality of life is compromised by pain is eligible for our palliative care program.
24-Hour Care
Belvedere Home Care provides 24-hour care for seniors and other adults with medical issues or disabilities. Our 24-hour caregivers can provide all of the services that a home health aide, personal care aide or companion can do, but will stay for extended periods at your home.
For those who only need overnight services, we can accommodate that schedule. Round-the-clock care offers family caregivers the opportunity for a good night’s sleep knowing that trained, professional caregivers are on the job, day and night.
Daily Health Maintenance
The need for routine testing and care shouldn’t prevent your loved one from staying in their own home.
Our staff is trained to provide a wide range of everyday care, testing and monitoring to track your loved one’s health. This allows them to stay in their home and be comfortable in a familiar setting when they need only brief daily visits to fulfill their health needs.
Our nurses and aides can provide services including:
- Glucose testing
- Post-surgical care
- Wound care
- Change dressings
- Teach and manage ostomy/colostomy care
- Give injections
- Manage urinary catheters
- Manage medication and talk to doctors or pharmacists
- Provide education to clients and families
Dementia & Alzheimer’s Care
Belvedere Home Care makes it possible for your loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia to stay home in a comfortable, familiar environment and keep their habits and schedule.
The Belvedere Home Care staff are knowledgeable and specially trained to care for the needs of clients with cognitive challenges, including:
- Alzheimer’s Disease
- Dementia
- Stroke
It can be difficult for families to ask for outside help, but a professional, experienced caregiver can help dementia clients stay in their own homes longer.
Hospital Sitting
When a loved one is hospitalized, it can be scary to walk away from their bedside and leave them without the comfort of a familiar face or a hand to hold.
Belvedere Home Care offers hospital sitter services, so you'll have a trained caregiver to advocate for the client and relay vital information from the hospital staff when you or your family are unable to be there. While a hospital sitter cannot provide medical care or administer medication in the hospital setting, they are the voice, eyes and ears of the client and their family.
We can also help transition a person from hospital to home, providing care post-surgery or other medical incidences. Our staff is trained to assess and create a safe home environment and to monitor the person for any changes in their health or progress that may require follow-up or emergency treatment.
Hospital care sitters can also tend to clients in nursing homes, rehabilitation centers and assisted living residences.
Therapy Assistance
Anyone who is going through physical therapy, occupational therapy or other rehabilitative therapies can use a supportive team.
Belvedere Home Care caregivers offer assistance in completing and tracking required exercises and other aspects of a client’s prescribed therapy routines. We’re also there to encourage clients to reach their full potential every day and to celebrate their successes. Our caregivers can also provide transportation for therapy appointments and keep families informed about the client’s progress.
Post-Surgical Home Care Support
Following surgery, whether minor or major, people often face a challenging list of orders and limitations. Belvedere Home Care can be there through recovery to help with anything a person can’t – or shouldn’t – do, per doctor’s orders.
We can do everything from dress wounds and monitor vital signs to prepare meals, perform housekeeping and assist with pet care. Caregivers can help the person move safely, dress, bathe, or perform exercises or therapies recommended by the medical team. We also provide 24-hour care and overnight care.
Belvedere caregivers can provide transportation to follow-up appointments and report back to families with recommendations, progress and changes in treatment.
Stroke & Brain Injury Care
After an initial hospitalization and rehabilitation, it can be a long road to recovery for stroke and brain injury clients. Belvedere Home Care helps stroke and brain injury care clients recover at their own pace, in their own home, working toward greater independence.
Our innovative Traumatic Brain Injury and Waiver Program reflects the gold standard of care. Our Clinical Services Director Tim Feeney is one of the architects of the New York State waiver program, which offers an extensive array of fully covered services for eligible patients to encourage a better quality of life and more full recovery. These services are also offered on a fee-for-service basis.
Our highly trained staff works with the client’s healthcare team to develop a mutually agreed-upon care plan, and we can adjust the level and frequency of our services as is appropriate for the client’s level of recovery.

Long-Distance Family Reassurance
Few things are more stressful than having to be away from a family member when they are ill, recovering from surgery or living with a chronic or life-limiting disease.
Belvedere Home Care caregivers can not only provide expert and compassionate care for your loved one; they will provide distant family members with reports and updates on the client’s condition and progress. Our caregivers communicate with the client's health team not only to be fully prepared for every aspect of care but also to keep families fully informed on a regular, ongoing basis.
If you have to be away, Belvedere can help you feel closer.
